RULES & REGULATIONS
A 1. The Director`s Competition has all rights to reject or disqualify any participants for
false information on any products, films, and media works which may affect the outcome
of the festival and its events.
A 2. All films can be submitted in either DVD, Mini DV, VHS, BETACAM, DVCAM, formats
for viewing purposes only. We prefer DVD or all DV formats as it is easier for us to view
as screeners.
A 3. Movies of Pornographic Nature are prohibited from the festival. (Nudity is
Accepted!)Language and freedom of speech is practiced as part of this festival so feel
free to say what's on your mind. That is why we're here.
B 1. Exhibition formats are accepted in DVD (non regional coding), Mini DV, DVCAM,
BETACAM, DIGI BETA, HD, HDV TAPE (720p or 1080i) NTSC or PAL formats are
accepted; Super 8mm, 16mm, and 35mm film formats. All soundtrack work is accepted
in Dolby Digital, DTS, Stereo, Mono, Surround 2.1, 5.1, 7.1,.
B 2. Selections for categories/programs will be based on terms created for each
individual category. Moving Image reserves the right to reject/decline any film(s) which
we feel may be unsuitable for the film festival.
B 3. All submitted projects must be produced and completed no earlier than Jan 1st
2006. Materials may be submitted with a Production Package/Media Kit. A minimum of 3
production stills, or artwork is suggested for submission with the film. Media Kits may
include the following: tag line, synopsis, film description, film treatment, art and stills,
press clippings(optional), cast list, crew list, and any affiliations with other production/
distribution companies.
B 4. When submitting by mail please forward all tape or reel materials to the following
address or the submission will be revoked without refund of submission fees.

B5. All company cheques, personal cheques and money orders are to be made payable
to "Moving Image Film Festival". Cheques which are "not sufficient in funds" (NSF) will
be revoked entry until owed amount is paid in full.
B6. All submitted material either preview or exhibition copies shall not be returned.
Please be aware that Moving Image Film Festival will not ship back any submissions.
Furthermore, Moving Image Film Festival reserves the right to reject any submission
which is either damaged, and/or past deadline timing date.
B7. Filmmakers can submit their films into more than one competition. All filmmakers are
eligible to win the grand prize award, or the first runner`s up award in either Feature
Film or Short Film categories.
